5 street-smart rules that make you spiritual

‘Pay for what you see, accept only what you understand’

You use your intellect. Listen to your intuition. Believe your senses. Validate for yourself before you decide to buy.

Similarly, respect and follow scriptures, traditions, hierarchy, and relations having applied your mind and satisfied yourself. Faith anchored in knowledge and experience is far superior than blind acceptance.

‘Don’t delay gratification’

Everything happens only in present. What has to culminate in future, has to commence today. What cannot be visualised today, will not be realised tomorrow.

You first salivate, before you eat. You live in your home in your mind, before you sign the papers.

Nature, life and experience operate only in the moment.

‘Being rich is better than being poor’

Applying yourself and your talent honestly is your duty. Being creative is your birth right. Your reward is the wealth it generates for you, your family and society.

You can’t share what you don’t have.

Prayers are powerful and having resources when required helps.

All the above statements are both worldly wise and spiritual.

Richness is a state of mind and a factor of number of zeroes. How much is for you to decide.

‘Interesting people make for interesting company’

To be interesting is to be natural. To be yourself.

Interesting folks have a perspective, a way with things. They expand the set of possibilities in a harmonious way. They live a full life and let live. You gravitate towards them, because they remind you of who you can be.

Spirituality blossoms in their company.

Even boredom seeks interesting company.

‘Strength respects strength’

Be humble. Avoid trouble. But when it means, the balance is being disturbed, it becomes your duty to reset the order. You need strength for that.  Strength of intellect and body. Strength of clarity and resourcefulness.

Spirituality abhors timidness.

It takes a diamond to cut a diamond and a hammer to shape a hot piece of iron.

What is your experience. Any more examples.
