Three kinds of Insights That shape you

2023 Nov 26

Insights can be like the thunderstorms where the lightning reveals the horizon in a flash or it can be like the winter sun which slowly melts away the ice, giving warmth to the earth.

First kind: Intellectual and sharable. It can come from any source – a quote, movie, mathematical equation, conversation. We are bombarded with many insights, but the one we personally resonate with, is the one which makes us go hmmm. The power of the insight that we connect with, is not just in its revelation, but also in its ability to tell us something about ourselves.

Second: Experiential and personal. It hits your core. It is often so simple and so ever-present that we wonder how could we be so blind to the obvious. Transformational.

Third: Evolving and personal: Convergence of first and second into a unique perspective that guides the user. A personal mental map that evolves as more work is put into it.

Those who move to the third are the ones who want to make sense of things for themselves. They are curious and intuitive and choose to sweat mentally and test their understanding in reality. They choose to walk their own solitary path. Such people end up creating something that the first look for.

What shapes you.
