When sleep is relinquished

And empty spaces filled

When information is consumed from a hosepipe

And the senses are numb with stimuli

Life force ebbs, and creativity sucks

Be it Ram, Sita & Lakshman’s 14 years in a forest or Pandavas & Draupadi’s 12 years

Since ancient times, periods of solitude

Became one of clarity, renewal, and purpose

In todays time, the wise know

Less is indeed more

And free time is well spent

For stillness hides treasures in its depth

That toil alone cannot reach.
