Why the why is not the starting point

In a deterministic calibrated system, like a toy or a space rocket engine, where the input – process – output relationships are known, we can get a clear answer to the question why did a particular problem occur or why the system exists.

However, in an open system, with large number of variables and complex dynamic relationships, which means nature, humans, organizations, societies and, nations, the why to any significant question is almost impossible to find. We can keep peeling the layers and still not reach the core of the issue. If we do reach an answer, it is because we assume for the sake of simplicity and practical application, what we know of the system is sufficient and relevant.

How does then one know, one’s calling – why am I here.

You start by asking who am I. The who seeds the why. The who triggers the why.

The cosmic bodies, the plants, the animals, and everything else you can think of in nature, from the micro to the macro, get their why by being themselves. They are not confused between who they are and why they are here.

Similarly, each one of us, is a unique bundle of qualities and dispositions. These qualities define our psychological construct irrespective of the qualifications we acquire to make a living and the experiences we gain along the way.

Along with the qualities we are born with, each one of us has a unique contextual reality that expands or contracts, depending on the way we see it.

The two come together like pieces of a jigsaw puzzle to define who we are. And then as conscious beings, unlike the rest of nature, we have the freedom to make choices aligned with who we are.

We are coherence = construct + context + choices.

(see my post: Let your harmonics play you)

When you zoom out and see how humanity, flora, fauna and elements of nature come together to make Earth, you realise who you are, reveals and empowers more, than the answer to the question, why am I here.

Think about it.
