Grow up, be in the real world

2023 Jul 27

We believe the world outside us is more real than the world inside us. Our actions prove that.

“This wont work in the real world / Be real”, is heard by us, from the time we enter school till the time we exit from active work.

This real world is the statistical line on which the majority of data points lie. This is like a box which incubates us, keeps us warm, safe and in line (from what?).

But deep inside we wish to be ourselves, follow our path, contribute and be relevant. We read, hear, watch, and admire those who operate from a different reality. They are not just the famous explorers, entrepreneurs, inventors, artists, and athletes who make it big or raise the bar, but anyone who finds the courage to pursue his / her calling. They make the world a better place by being themselves.

How do we explain this paradox?

We willingly accept the box with rules to guide us, but yearn for that freedom, where our hearts’ guide us.

Which is the real world – the outside or the inside?
