They say it’s in times of stress that the essential reveals itself

The ignorant see it in storms The intelligent in favourable winds The wisest know it runs in waters still What use is it to notice the rivets of the bridge in a storm When they show themselves in broad daylight If you want to rule the world Know what holds it Not that which is invisible But that which appears in plain sight.

While the mind picks autumn leaves   Seasons come and go The leaves become soil The mind continues to toil   See the leaves one last time - it’s goodbye One step leads to another - a trail appears The unfamiliar feels inviting As if life itself is calling   The winds and forest sense it This spring is different   What is inside Is now outside.
