“You have come a long way” is a compliment

When it is about what you have become with what you gathered

 

It takes lesser time to get stuff.

It takes a lifetime to become.

 

The stuff and more of it is the easier part.

Like buying books that now resemble a library or earning wealth that compounds itself.

It is their rub off on who you are that becomes the differentiator.

 

When someone wise visits your place and softly says “You have come a long way”. That person is appreciating the warmth of your home and not the worth of the house.

 

What you are becoming goes a long way.
