Combustion needs 3 ingredients

2024 Mar 12

So do you

Combustion needs:

  • Fuel a substance which can burn

  • Oxygen to support

  • Heat a minimum ignition temperature

Combustion further needs:

  • A trigger to kickstart itself – such as friction or spark plug

  • All the 3 ingredients together make up the fire triangle – remove one and the reaction stops

Those who are on fire find their 3 ingredients as:

  • Purpose as their fuel

  • Faith as their oxygen which supports them in ups & downs

  • Determination as their heat which ignites them into action

Their trigger is often an incident or a realization – a crack through which light enters. Stirring the dormant ingredients into action, marking the beginning of one’s combustion.

Unlike chemical combustion, personal combustion of a particular quality can sustain itself for ever and only benefit the world. For that one needs a purpose greater than one’s identity, a faith deeper than the mind and a determination that is powered by every cell in the body.
