They say, when you discover that you are riding a dead horse, the best strategy is to dismount. However our response can be often contradictory. We may:

Wait for the horse to revive
Lower the standards so that dead horses can be included
Invest extra funds to increase the dead horse’s performance

If you want to go from A to B, be honest and see things as they are.

So that you can take the decisions that will take you to B.
