Everyone has a plan, Till they get punched in the face

This is a quote by boxer Mike Tyson. The problem is not lack of robust planning but our belief that the world will hug our plan and our plan is their plan.

Before you get into the ring, be clear why you are entering the ring. The why has to be stronger than the plan because the plan will be shaken and tested.

Expect to be surprised and knocked. A strong why will keep you bouncing back again and again. Be surprised if the plan works smoothly, for it means either you changed the why or kept it very low. That is a self-goal.

Whether you meet Mike Tyson, competition or would-be father-in-law, have a plan. And be clear of your why.
